Whippet Information

WhippetTalk about a speed demon! Amazingly, the Whippet can run at speeds up to 35 miles per hour. In fact, he is the fastest domesticated animal in his weight category of 15-30 pounds. The breed, like an English Greyhound only smaller, has the elegant, graceful athleticism of a racehorse but with a serious lazy streak. He may run fast in bursts, but afterward you’ll find him lounging on the couch for the rest of the day.

Powerful and graceful, this pet does well in small spaces and makes an excellent apartment dog since he he rarely barks and is generally calm once he gets his quota of exercise. He is affectionate and warm and loves to snuggle up to his owners!

All dogs have their own personality and unique training, causing them to differ slightly from these breed stats. However, please let us know if we made an error in the stats, we appreciate your help!
