Tibetan Spaniel Information

Tibetan SpanielFrom his appearance, the Tibetan Spaniel is unmistakably an Asian breed. He hails from the Himalayan mountains of Tibet dating back over 2,500 years ago and shares ancestry with the Pekinese, Pug, Shih Tzu, Tibetan Terrier and Lhasa Apso.

Playful and smart, the Tibetan Spaniel wins over fans with his huge, expressive eyes; scrunched in face; sweet smile; and lion-like mane of hair. He is self confident and independent, which can lead toward an aloof attitude toward strangers at times, but overall, he is friendly and thrives on human contact.

All dogs have their own personality and unique training, causing them to differ slightly from these breed stats. However, please let us know if we made an error in the stats, we appreciate your help!
