This primitive breed further adapted to the country’s climate and terrain and its purpose as a small hunting dog, slowly transforming into the breed of today.

The Portuguese Podengo Pequeno is playful and lively pet who loves to charm his owners. Weighing 9-13 pounds, this little guy is muscular and agile with trademark erect ears, wiry fur and a hooked tail.
