Borzoi Information
An elegant, strong and exotic dog, the Borzoi traces his history back hundreds and hundreds of years. They can be found in historical accounts from the time of Genghis Khan in the 13th century and were later bred by Russian aristocracy in more recent times, also under the name Russian Wolfhound.
Male Borzois can weigh between 75-105 pounds and females are a little smaller. Combining grace and strength, the breed has a majestic, swift stride that helps him run up to 40 miles per hour. Although dignified and independent, the Borzoi is also affectionate and charming with its loved ones.
All dogs have their own personality and unique training, causing them to differ slightly from these breed stats. However, please let us know if we made an error in the stats, we appreciate your help!
