English Toy Spaniel Information

English Toy SpanielThought to have originated in the Near East, the English Toy Spaniel first appeared in Europe in the 16th century. Weighing no more than 14 pounds, this unique pup features a large, round head; turned-up nose; long, lush ears; and large, melt-your-heart eyes. Their coat comes in four varieties that each have a proper name: Blenheim (red and white); King Charles (black and tan); Prince Charles (white, black, and tan); and Ruby (solid red).

The small size of the English Toys make them ideal for small homes or apartments. Curious and intelligent, the breed can be willful, snooty and regal in some instances, and loving and willing to please at other times.

One note: the breed does not do well with heat; proceed with caution on hot days!

All dogs have their own personality and unique training, causing them to differ slightly from these breed stats. However, please let us know if we made an error in the stats, we appreciate your help!
